Privacy Policy – Job Applicants

Application and data collection forms are produced by Casual Dining Bidco Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Belgo, registered with company number 06022702, with registered address at 163 Eversholt Street, London NW1 1BU.

As Data Controller (as defined in the General European Data Protection Regulation), will use the data collected for the purposes of:
1. considering you for suitable employment vacancies with the Casual Dining Group;
2. communicating with you at various stages in the selection process;
3. for on-boarding successful applicants, including verifying right to work; and
4. for retaining the applications of unsuccessful applicants in the form of a “talent pool” database.

We envisage that we will hold information about criminal convictions, only if it is appropriate given the nature of the role and where we are legally able to do so. We will use information about criminal convictions and offences in order to determine suitability for a role and to carry out our obligations to other employees and to the general public.

We may use automated decision-making, where an electronic system uses personal information to make a decision without human intervention, in the following circumstances:

(i) Where we have notified you of the decision and given you 21 days to request reconsideration;

(ii) Where we have a lawful basis to do so or it is necessary to perform the contract with you and appropriate measures are in place to safeguard your rights;

(iii) In limited circumstances, with your explicit written consent.

The legal basis for our processing your information is the pursuit of our Legitimate Interests which are seeking job applicants in order to further the interests of our organisation and maintaining a database of unsuccessful candidates and speculative enquiries known as a talent pool. The processing is furthermore in your legitimate interest as a job seeker. We will not process the information you have provided for any other purposes incompatible with those referred to in this policy.

We will store the information you provide on a computer system provided by a specialist company who act in the capacity of our Data Processor (as defined in the General European Data Protection Regulation) and are based in the UK. We will not transfer your data outside of the EU.

We may also share the personal data you submit on this data collection with the following types of organisation: recruitment agencies (if you have applied via a recruitment agency) and companies that provide testing or pre-employment checks if appropriate to the role applied for (in which case you will be notified in advance).

We will retain your data for no longer than is necessary. The information you provide to us through this form and subsequently during the application process will be stored in our computer systems for a period of two years if you are not subsequently employed.

You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of personal data that we hold about you as well as a right to object to and to a restriction of our processing of your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint about us with the ICO.
