A few weeks back, the hard drive crashed on my trusty Macbook (second time this year, if you're counting), and unlike last time, I found myself with insufficient backup and not one byte of recovered data from the disk. So the past six months are in a strange place, outside my content-management program, but still readily accessible from the web, but no longer linked anywhere else. I had been hesitating to update as I pondered the best way to handle this scenario. I can think of various means of getting them back into managed content, and maybe I'll do one of those things eventually, but for now, it all seems too labor-intensive, so how about I just link to them:
The Crabbing Life, Part II - The wonderful crabbing saga of early-2009 continues, with more crabcake sandwiches
A Sunday Story - Chris goes to check out a liveaboard boat and gets more than he bargained for. I still have that pearl, by the way.
Power Up - The Porta-Bote gets a 6HP gas engine, and Chris stops using the toy electric motor.
I Find The Ocean - First traversal of Lower Sugarloaf Sound, exiting through Sugarloaf Creek to the ocean.
The Crabs of Bay Point - Chris and Grace are surprised at the biodiversity of Bay Point waters.
Light Italian Baked Hogfish - A suggestion for cookin' hogfish.
Lower Sugarloaf Farewell - Final farewall and information about Lower Sugarloaf Sound.
A Hero's Welcome - A story of fishing and Porta-Boting the Atlantic Ocean.
Cudjoe Transit - I take the Porta-Bote 10 miles through the Atlantic to its new home.
The First Year - Celebrating 1 year of living in the Keys.
Another Sunday Story - One of my favorite belgo.com entries of all time. A rainy day in Key West.
Cudjoe Transit II - Chris buys a bowrider and accepts delivery of it, over the ocean instead of trailering.
... When you put it all that way, it looks like I've had an allright summer. Now that this explanation/linky entry is posted here, I'll get to work on another update.
